Student Eligibility Process
Self-Identify

Students with disabilities and injuries must meet with us to begin the interactive process. If you are unable to complete the form or need assistance, contact us in person or by phone or email.

Provide Documentation

To provide the best service possible, we need to know how your disability may affect you while here at Montana Tech. Documentation may be submitted in-person or via email.

Intake Interview

Think about how your disability impacts you in the classroom and how we can work together to mitigate those symptoms as we meet to discuss your history, diagnosis, and access needs.

Who We Serve

We coordinate accommodations and support services for students who have a documented disability, medical condition, or injury that substantially limits any major life activity, including but not limited to walking, talking, learning, hearing, or seeing.

Faculty and staff in need of accommodations for a disability or injury should contact Human Resources for assistance.

Visitors in need of accommodations while on campus should contact the sponsor of the event as far in advance as possible so that we can work together to accommodate your access needs.

New students will get a tour of campus, a free meal, a meeting with their advisors to get them registered for courses, and the opportunity to see all the amazing resources and opportunities Montana Tech has to offer them! Walk-in placement testing will also be available on those days in the Student Success Center (SSC) 3.136.

Registration rallies will be held on May 8 and June 12, 2026.

Journey to Success

This First Year Experience program can help ease new students transition to college. They'll be taught the academic success skills as well as the real life skills needed for them to be successful in college and beyond.

A series of exclusive workshops, events, and networking opportunities give students the chance to make friends and get to know all our campus has to offer - all the while rewarding them for their efforts with a variety of prizes!
